Keystone Home Remodeling was founded in 2007 on a simple premise: a remodeling contractor should treat a client's home the way they'd treat their own. Nearly two decades and 640 projects later, that premise still runs the company.
How We Started
A Carpenter's Company, Built to Last
Keystone Home Remodeling began in 2007 when founder Michael Doyle, a third-generation carpenter, left a large regional builder to start a firm that would keep craftsmanship — not volume — at the center of every decision. The first jobs were kitchen remodels in Ardmore and Wynnewood, done with a two-person crew and a promise that Michael himself would walk every job site personally.
Almost twenty years later, Keystone has grown into a full design-build firm serving Center City Philadelphia and the Main Line suburbs, but the operating principle hasn't changed: fewer, better-run projects, staffed by craftsmen we employ directly rather than subcontractors we've never met. We're a licensed Pennsylvania general contractor (PA HIC #PA017245), fully insured, and proud members of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry's Philadelphia chapter.
